New Release: Sewn Up Eyes ‘Demo / Live ’91’

So stoked to share this today.. we are releasing the collected discography of Sewn Up Eyes!

Sewn Up Eyes was a thrash? punk band from Richmond’s southside around 1991, and became somewhat legendary locally. Growing up i always heard reference to the band (which I knew of because it consisted of two members that would later form Uphill Down, Bo and Seth!) but i never got to hear it.

So for the past year and a half, we have been working, transferring these old recordings to the digital realm, cleaning them up, and putting together a great release of everything they had available. Even going so far as to remix the original 4-track, to get the best quality one can from stuff recorded on cassette. A lot of engineering went into this. We had to source a variable speed 4 track from Japan for the remix, rebuild a Nakamichi cassette deck for the live set: its been some work

The result is a 20 song release, titled ‘Demo / Live ’91‘, with 11 songs from the original 1991 4-track demo, and 9 songs from a live set played at Twisters in the same year, with a cover of new artwork from Bo.
