GARY’S THOUGHTS ON THIS ALBUM:

This album comes from a reflection on an understanding about relationships, and feeling of finally being OK with myself, a shift from looking for relationships and external things to complete me. It has songs about the different steps in that journey, from walking away from something that doesn’t work, which isn’t easy, and which doesn’t just happen once, though we may get quicker at it as we have practice, to songs about past disfunction in relationships, about coping with the processes, and a few other things. It is at once, a celebration of learning, perhaps in an attempt to make seem useful, the hard lessons learned.
